Verses 6-11 are a protest against laziness. The ant is an object lesson to us as it scurries back and forth, keeps on the move, and often carries oversized loads. It gets a lot accomplished without benefit of a boss, foreman, or superintendent. When we watch a swarm of ants, they seem to move crazily in every direction, but their activity is purposeful and directed, even though there is no apparent chain of command.

I think that means that ants have an inherant sense of duty. they know what to do in order to maintain their species without being told what to do. and they also have the strength to lift and carry things twice their size.
It's a good thing though that ants have no emotions..can't suffer through heartache or sadness, poverty or loniless.
Try lugging THOSE things around with you all day. The burden then becomes three fold.

Be industrious, conduct yourself appropriately and be content with your station, place and time in life. Do the work that provides and supplies the simple everyday needs of people. Respect yourself and others.
In other words, don't try and do more than you are able. There is no need to be more than what you are by birth. Aspire to be a part of life and no more. Do good work. Love your neighbor as you love yourself, or love your self as you love your neighbor.
Love our life as you love your life. Be alive!

We can never equal those tiny creatures of God's creation, though we are supposed to possess the intelligent which the ant lack. Even those who are not lazy can not equal to an ant in its own capacity. nagarajan.

i was wondering how we can be more like Peter Pan and Tinker Bell.
isn't it fun to revel in mythology and fictional stories, and pretend that they will affect our lives if we let them?
wouldn't it be nice to sprout wings and fly around like peter pan, and wave a magic wand? wow. we could be nice to people, too! wowdy wowdy. yay!!!
let's turn the page, now, and ponder some more fiction!!
