All the boxers down our gym seem to favour Adidas (hi top version) to be honest Brent. I havent asked them for what reason but they all seem to be on winning streaks so they must be doing something right.

to be honest i need a pair myself and have been asking people ... from what i've been told the nike lo-tops are VERY lite if your a dancer these will be good ... there are the Jordans, i've been told they are alil like a regular sneaker being heavier and much more supportive ... haven't really done any real research but i hope i can help .... thanks for the question maybe it'll help me out too !!!!

Light is always good, rosin on the soles, and bright colors will possibly distract your opponents. Low-tops for dancers, high-tops for plodders/sluggers, and Tyson had the right idea for scaring people---basic black, no socks. But he got a lot of his power from his legs and ankles...mostly, keep the bottoms of your shoes on the mat.
