very specific question about crinkling/ crimping hair?

ok. i want the -just got out of the shower- look for my hair. where its crinkled/crimped. where little bits of hair are wavy, not so there is one chunk of hair that goes one direction.
so there are like 100 bits of hair that wave different ways. do you know what i mean?
help!!

My daughter some times obtains this by going to bed with her hair in a towel when it is still damp and then she just finger combs it in the morning (she also puts just a little gel in it before putting the towel on). Good luck and God Bless.
