I suppose I was six and went up in a single-engine job at a local general aviation airport.

My first commercial flight was when I was 18, flying from Wichita to Washington DC on a college choir tour. We connected through St. Louis, and I got to sit next to Megann Martin (but I was stupid and fell asleep...)

The very first time I was in an airplane, I was the pilot. I was so scared, but once we took off, I was having the time of my life. I was doing aerobatic maneauvers i probably shouldnt have been doing, and managed to make myself sick. I did have a CFI (flight instructor with me) It was a C172, and probably the best and most memorable experience i will ever have. oh by the way i was 18. this was an awesome question, readin everyones experiences was interesting. oh ya, i am now a pilot, and have actually flown on an commercial airplane. also very exciting.

I belive about 9 years ago I flew on MetroJet, you know, that garbagy airline, launched by US Airways. What I don't understand, is why MetroJet was launched considering US airways is/was a low cost carrier anyways.

from Grand Rapids Michigan to Tel Aviv Israel- what an eye opener- I was terrified of all the soldiers with guns, tanks on the streets and gun holes in the buildings- when I got to Rome, I wanted to kiss the ground.
