Congratulations! You changed your questions slightly.
Since the Bible and the Book of Mormon are both religious books their rationalizations should be about the same. Silly to some and important to others.

To some people the Bible's content might be silly but it is not true to many others. For Christians, the Bible is God's Word and it is meant to be heard, to be reflected upon, to be meditated and to be contemplated, and to be acted upon. Christians don't interpret the Bible literary; they interpret it under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The Bible, or the Word of God, is a lamp to the feet of Christians. Mormons are also trying to live their belief in God. Faith counts. If you have no faith then you can't take the Bible as your guide in life.

Sadly, as you no doubt realize, silly generalizations that actually say nothing in particular are not helpful, do not enlighten, do not add to civil discourse, and bring no value to a conversation except for the self-satisfaction associated with making a general attack, which is of course always difficult to respond to.
But, judging by the fact that most of the questions you pose are well thought out and raise valid points, I assume you knew that without me commenting on it :)

I don't think is the same or rather "as silly as" that particular book of mormon.
There is a great difference between the books - the Bible has an author superior to any earthly author you can come up with. And as a result, it is the best seller of all time! It is the number one best seller.
So, it is natural that a book having a heavenly author cannot be easily understood by human earthly subjects. It is also natural that such a book should not be gladly accepted by humans, since they are earthly and their understanding of things limitted and shallow - and also have vague concepts about spiritual things.
GOD IS SUPREMELY WISE - THERE IS NO DENYING THAT!

Go ahead and flame me, but I know what I am talking about!
You are absolutely right! Because what you see is based on "money" for both "rationalizations!"
One CANNOT SERVE both GOD and "Money!"
You are correct!
However!
Those who lean unto there own understanding of scripture are leading others astray and blinded by their "pride!" But this has to occur for the Kingdom of God is coming to this earth and establish His way as the only way.
Pride is man's downfall. The End of the circle of man's self rule will be the beginning of Christ's Kingdom but that "pride" must be broken first!
Cheers!

What I find sad most of all in your questions is that you appear to be a well-read individual, searching for the truth that will make your life full, but you continue to stumble and find fault in everything sacred and holy.
But you fight it entirely too much! To follow any religious belief one must grow and exercise faith in it. You simply haven't arrived at that juncture.
You'd much rather contend than accept what is truth before you. Contentiousness is a negative attribute that Christ Himself deplored. Consider a path of positiveness towards Christ. Rid yourself of such hobbies of contending with religious beliefs and act for yourself.

Can I consider "silly" in its historic etymon?
The Bible composed of 66 books is worth reading, and God's words are found there. So those irrationals, or natural-born beasts will never come to understand, because NONE of the wicked will understand.

I'm a christian, but I don't believe the Bible is the word of God.
I believe it was written by man, translated by man, and misinterpreted by man.

Are you talking about Biblical Rationalization or Biblical Exegesis?
There is a difference.

No, meatbot, I did not realize that.
Too bad you ONCE AGAIN failed to give examples, thus limiting your contribution to a sweeping statement that is, in truth, pointless.
