I use vicks nasal spray almost twice a day just about every day because i get really stuffy this time of year. Can i be causing damage from overusage?

You have already cause permanent damage from overuse. If you cannot stop using this spray on your own see your doc for help. You also can NEVER EVER use any kind of spray like this again in your lifetime once you stop using it because you abused it.

Yes! My brother-in-law developed a dependence to Afrin, I believe. He used it constantly, said he was congested, etc. After a while, he HAD to use it just to keep his nasal passages open! He eventually went cold-turkey to kick the dependency. Don't use that stuff! Try saline drop or spray instead; saline's natural & non-habit forming. Steam is good, too.
