As an atheist, I don't think Fox News has an impartial view of the world.
There are many, many Muslims speaking out against terrorism. I don't even know why they do that, by the way. Every sane person is against terrorism. Just like every sane person is against racism. Has a public rally against racism ever changed the mind of a racist? I'm pretty sure it hasn't.
The term 'moderate Muslim' is kinda insulting by the way. With that you imply that a 'normal Muslim' is a terrorist, and there are 'other Muslims' that are moderate.
They are just Muslims. And just like in every group, there are rotten apples. Ignoring the rotten apples would probably do more good than publicly speaking out against it.
Do _you_ have a solution against terrorism? I'm gonna say something weird now, but I truly think if everybody would ignore it, it would end. In the end, terrorism is all about getting attention on channels like Fox News.
I know it can't be ignored, I'm not naive. But I'm also not so naive to think that speaking out against it will make a difference. Just like Christians speaking out against Fred Phelps bigoted hatred won't make any difference.

certainly lots, in case you check out the kind of Muslims interior the entire international, and in the event that all of them stood for what those people stood for, i think of there may be a concern. so as that disproves your declare that Muslims are no longer conversing out against it, because of the fact they are actual. The smallest quantity of crimes interior the U.S. cope with Muslims, did you even comprehend that statistic? Segregating them, separating them, only like carried out to many different communities, isn't the respond. Racism, lack of know-how, etc., are some thing that would desire to have died out long term in the past, yet they nevertheless exist. If people can no longer concern one team, they concern the subsequent, then the subsequent, that is like a sort now or extremely has substitute right into a sort for some.

Moderate Muslims are appalled by the glorification of terrorists and extremist Islamists, and regularly speak out against them. However they are drowned out by the noise of condemnation such as yours that groups all Muslims together, and the horror of the far more newsworthy attacks and killings in Baghdad.
Moderate Muslims are also appalled by the disgraceful treatment of Palestinians in Gaza and the apparent indifference towards these peoples' conditions by Europeans and Americans. Perhaps Americans and Europeans would call more sympathy from moderate Muslims if they didn't overlook the wickedness perpetrated with American support against ordinary people in ordinary families like yours, who just happen to be Palestinian arabs?

And what was before Iraq.. and before the gulf and before that, and that...http://www.victoryscent.co.uk/100_years_of_terror.htm As a moderate muslim i stand out against these terrorist nations!

I've answered a question similar to this before, and what my response was...
All Islamic countries News is Censored...don't think there is freedom of speech over there...
People get thrown in Jail for speaking up againts the government for saying they don't like something they are doing...
It's not like the States where anyone can just got to the news staions and be like "oh Hey, here's what's going on and here's what I think.."Doesn't happen...
In the States there used to be a News Channel Aired called Al Jazeera News...I am told It is no longer being shown there...But if you can get this News It constantly defends Islam and the acts that are happening today..
Don't believe everything you are being shown in the News or even told for that matter...There are people defending themselves in a way, you just have to look for it...!!

I DO speak out against Al-Qaida and the Taliban. I have from the beginning, even before I became Muslim. What the Al-Qaida and Taliban are doing "in the name of Allah" is utterly wrong and horrible. They need to be stopped at all costs. And I don't mean to drag politics too far into this, but the Democrats who are in the US Senate and the Presidential candidates want to set a deadline for the USA's war in Iraq and the Middle East. All this will serve in doing is to say "Hey, if you can hold out until this date, we will leave you alone." This is, for lack of a better term, idiotic. They don't realize that just because we aren't going to fight them, that they will still fight us. These groups in the Middle East have painted such a horrid picture about the USA that Americans are "evil" and "infidels" and deserve to die. The leaders of these groups have placed their own political gains ahead of the teachings of the Qur'an and deserve no place in Heaven, but rather the deepest pits of Hell to burn for eternity.

I live in a Muslim country. The government however throws anyone who tries to speak up in jail. That's because the government himself is afriad of the 'higher powers.' It's all politics and I think is very sad. I still speak up and say that we do not support what's going on. I try my best to clear the bad image that media has spread around us. But the damage is great and cannot be undone unless all Muslims work together. That can't happen because the 'higher powers' make sure that they break them up before they become strong enough to face them.

Why don't americans stop Bush and Israel from attacking and killing people in Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine, Lebanon? Why don't moderate Christians stop Western nations from using their military muscle on poor defenceless countries? Why don't moderate Christians ask their governments to give free market access to products from under developed countries? Why don't moderate Christians and Jews ask their governments to let democracy flourish in the Middle East and stop supporting dictatorial regimes? Why don't moderate Christians ask their nations to forgive the massive debts owed to them by poor countries? Why don't the former colonisers, Britian and France pay back the resources stolen from their colonies? Why don't americans return the land stolen from the Indians?
Be realistic, if you look closely, and if you ever have a chance to visit a muslim country, Islam is in a period of deep reflection and internal divisions. There are all shades of opinion in it, from the extremists to the reformists, to the liberals. When you attack it, you only strengthen the hands of extremists who have the opinion that Islam is under attack from the west, and thus validate their beliefs. You want to change muslim countries? Let them reform themselves, help them educate themselves and their people, let them democratice themselves, stop meddling in their affairs, give them a chance to compete on world markets, reduce their debts, encourage development. But that is not an easy task and the attitude you have is of no use and will not help any one get anywhere.

why don't christians speak out against the Westboro Baptist Church and the many other hate groups within christianity? why don't they take ownership of that? why don't christians stop the hate among their own cult groups?
maybe it's because they quietly agree with what the hate groups are doing, and don't want to admit it? ya think?
