God is Love and Love is God.

Because we have turned away from God from the spiritual world, who is love personified, but nevertheless he loves us so much that he comes himself in person in various forms and also sends from time to time various sons, prophets, messangers, viz., Buddha, Krishna, Rama, Jesus Christ, Hazrat Mohammed, Sri Chaitanya, Sri Jiva etc... .

He loves everyone and thus sends to all the places and not just in India, Europe, America but everywhere.

From, Bhagavad-gita-as-it-is, by A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Founder-Acharya of ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness), we know that,
Lord Sri Krishna says in the Bhagavad gita(19.61),
The Supreme Lord is situated in everyone's heart, O Arjuna, and is directing the wanderings of all living entities, who are seated as on a machine, made of the material energy.

Comparing the soul and supersoul sitting on the tree of body,
both the Katha Upanisad and Svetasvatara Upanisad say,
"Although the two birds are in the same tree, the eating bird is fully engrossed with anxiety and moroseness as the enjoyer of the fruits of the tree. But if in some way or other he turns his face to his friend who is the Lord and knows His glories—at once the suffering bird becomes free from all anxieties."

So, the Lord is telling from within the heart what is good and what is bad. This is conscience coming from the Lord. The soul can choose the good or bad since it is endowed with the free-will. The supersoul is only acting as the witnesser and sanctioner,as mentioned in the Bhagavad gita(13.23),
"Yet in this body there is another, a transcendental enjoyer, who is the Lord, the supreme proprietor, who exists as the overseer and permitter, and who is known as the Supersoul."

God loves us so much that he is constantly sitting beside us Paramatma asn expecting us to turn our face towards him.

1 John 4:8 tells us that God is love. He is unconditional love that we cannot fully grasp. The way we love here on earth is conditional (even if we think it isn't) - there are limits to our love. But there are no limits to God's love. He doesn't love based on feelings or emotions - He loves because He is love. God had everything He needed. He did not need to create humans. His sole purpose for creating mankind was to love us! And when evil entered into the human race, God sent His Son to die for us so that our relationship with Him can be restored. How amazing is that?!? I have to say that if I was asked to lay my son on an altar and sacrifice him, even to save the world, I would not be able to do it. That's how much God loves us!!!

In Christ,

Love is God and love is the supreme quality in this world. God's love can never be compared with any thing in this world. We all have got the spark of divine love in us. If we care to develop it to a huge flame and expand it to all we will become one with God in identity. Automatically our selfishness will flee from us. It is a grand moment of our life on earth. Love all and serve all, says Sai Baba. nagarajan.

The Christians god had his chosen people turn their backs to him and worship other gods so many times I lost track and every time they repented and asked forgiveness they would be accepted back into his loving embrace.

No. God is love, but love is not God. "God is love" comes from John's epistle and is written in such a way that one would have to murder the Greek language in order to render the phrase as "love is God" rather than "God is love."

Love is an attribute of God, as is being holy, just, merciful, all powerful, eternal...

One attribute should not be viewed out of context...
