best bet is to take it to the vet and they will be able to examine it and make sure it's healthy and they will be able to tell you what you need to do and teach you how to do it.

good luck. hope it makes it!

4 ounces or 32 cc a day, it should drink little and often. You will need to keep the kitten the right way up to feed it, don't feed it like a human baby on its back, the formula can go into it's lungs. If you have kitten milk replacer, you will need to mix it up as it says on the pack. Add about 10mls a day extra of water as often the milks are too strong and make it constipated.

After feeding, you need to clean the kitten by taking a clean warmdamp cloth or cotton wool, starting at it's face wipe the milk away, imagine what a Mom cat's tongue would do on the kitten and try to copy that. Slowly move down the body and massage the abdomen and then the genitals to make it poop and pee. You may need to do this now, it could be why it isn't eating.

ASAP consult your vet, it is very hard to raise kittens that young so try but don't be disappointed if the kitten doesn't make it.

1) Go to the pet food store and get kitten formula. It is better than milk. Full of complete nutrients. If this is impossible, beat an egg, mix with milk, add some beef baby food and stir it until it is completely pureed. If possible, add a little pureed pumpkin (like the kind that comes in a can for pumpkin pie.) This is better than just cow's milk.
2) If the cat is that young, you MUST help it go to the bathroom! A mother cat will lick its kitten's genitals to encourage it to go to the bathroom. You can use a wet washcloth or paper towel, and you have to imitate a cat-licking kind of motion, until the kitten is completely done peeing or pooping. This has to continue for a couple of weeks at least.
3) Also, kittens need to eat roughly EVERY four hours. Even overnight. So you will not be getting much sleep if you are doing this alone. You are in for a rough three to four weeks.
3) Where is the mother cat? Where are the other kittens?

There is a product called feline mammalac. The kit comes with a little bottle used for kittens. I have done this a few times before and I can tell you it's not easy to handfeed kittens this young. They need to be fed every couple hours, even through the night. Also after feedings you need to use a warm ,moist clean cloth and wipe the genital area of each one to make them pee/poo. The mother cat does this with her tongue but since your momma cat isn't available you'll need to do it. They also must be kept warm. I urge to to call your local humane society or vet office for more specific advice. Again, you need to get feline mammalac (A cat-milk formula) and although I praise your valiant efforts, don't blame yourself if they do not survive. I stayed awake for 4-5 days with very young kittens whose mom died giving birth. Despite being an experienced animal care provider, nature is nature and they need their mother that young. I have only done this successfully with kittens that were a little older. Good luck and I hope by some miracle that they do survive. But please call the humane society or vet clinic for more direction. Feline Mammalac can be purchased at most pet stores and like I said, it comes with a little bottle and instructions on preparing the formula and how much to feed them. Good Luck and God Bless!!!
P.S. I am not familar with "fernleaf" but read the instructions carefully. Otherwise, go get the feline mammalac.

DO NOT DILUTE...YOU ARE DOING FINE...a two day old kitten will not take but a few drops at a time, but be prepared to try to give it some every hour or so, for a couple of weeks until it starts growing! Patience is the key here with the mother gone. And pray! Good luck and God bless.

I have been told that feeding milk to kittens is not good for them. You should be using a kitten formula that you can get from your local vet or pet store. This may help encourage the kitten to drink.

32 cc of milk replacer every couple of hours. Read the directions on the box as to whether or not you have to add water.

you're using eyedroppers? you'll need *lots* - that kitten should be eating for a few minutes at least once an hour - doublecheck with a vet or breeder about supplements...
