my guess is just my guess, don't shoot me, but i feel that it's because we don't want to take a trip down to the docs to find out. we pretty much use the internet for everything. think about it - our society is lazy. we depend on cars to get from point a to point b even if it's around the block, we depend on the telephone to call someone who is also around the block and we really really depend on the internet and others to tell them what they want to know. it's as simple as that. we are lazy and depend on things like the internet or others to answer our questions. does that make sense?

I won't assume the question is rude if you don't assume the Askers are women. Most of them are what I'd call children, scared that they might be pregnant. Not knowing what to do because they have never been pregnant before. They may have never been to a gyn doctor before. These are worried kids wanting and hoping for the best. They don't have their own medical cards and they are afraid to ask the parent for it because there might be a big fight or shame heaped on them. Most of them probably don't even know what is involved in a home pregnancy test. If you see 100s of these kids asking everyday then you know how vast the problem is.
Most of rest are young girls married or in a relationship, who are having a first pregnancy and aren't sure if they are having a baby or if their discomfort is from a health problem, normal pregnancy, or perhaps a rape. There is a huge change that any female body goes through to produce a baby. Its nothing simple. If you feel uncomfortable answering their questions, its ok for you to find something more to your liking. Of course, you can also give the stock answer, go to the doctor and talk to him. Keep the Faith...

I've been wondering that as well. I think it's okay for women to ask - some may be nervous, or too young to know the common symptoms. But there are a lot of women asking daily, and speaking with a doctor or simply just taking a pregnancy test would be the best way for them to find out.

To be fair, though, I sometimes turn to Yahoo!Answers for reassurance when I don't know what to do in a situation (if it's something I can't speak with my friends or family about).

Maybe they are just unsure when to take the test , how accurate it is or they want more information on whether they should or not. It does get expensive if you keep taking the test or if you do it wrong in the first place. Perhaps, they want to avoid taking it until they are sure and need others to confirm this.
In this day and age, you'd think they'd be more knowledgeable about their own body and what precautions they should always use, to avoid this dilemma.

I think the reason they ask to because they are ether trying to get used to the idea of being pregnant or they just dont want to go to the doctor and want other women to tell them if there are feeling is what they think they! I agree with you 100 o/o! I am of couse an women at that!

the young ones probably don't know what to do and they jsut need some counciling they shouldn't really be havin gsex if they can't handle the consiquences that go with it but they are scared ans jsut need some advice. i personally have asked a similar question, and for your imformation i had taken a test the results were negative and no i didn't take it befor my missed period. i wanted to know if this had happend to many other people b/c i really feel pregnant. sometimes when you know what has happend to other people it helps you out some. Has nothing ever happend to you that you wanderd hmmmm what is this? does anybody else have this? if not then you are one lucky B**ch.

Ur right! I think that if they have a problem with thier body then they should go to a doctor or hospital and not inform the rest of the world. No one on here is going to know exactly!! I guess they just want to annoy everyone and see how many answers they can get. jk lol

I am sure half those questions are asked by their boys on proxy basis, responding to the fears of the girls. The kids should learn some responsible sexual behavior ,talking to counselors, before going for adventures that put them in tight spots.

LOL. Because there are a lot of silly people out there
that don't use protection and then they think just asking
someone else is going to give them the answer.

I think it is because they are scared of what the test might say and probably hope that they will ask that on here and we will say "Oh, no, don't worry. You are not pregnant" and then they can continue on in denial.....that's just a guess.
