I filed with jackson hewwitt, but the computer wouldnt let me efile my sc state return. the preparer wasnt a lot of help said she didnt know why, i think its because my husband was a volunter fireman 2 years ago in the state of sc and gets a small credit <72.00> I hate to wait 12 weeks for my refund does anyone know where or if i can just efile my sc state tax return? Thanks in advance

i found a website that would let me do it. liberty tax only 12.95. much cheaper tha jacksonhewwitt they charged me 284.00 cause i itemized thanks to all who took time to answer

You can call another jackson hewitt official and see what happens... tell them you don't want to pay twice when the 1st person wasn't much help (may not work, but worth a try)!

Many states require you to e-file your Federal and your state returns together. If NC is one of them, you must either e-file the entire package at once or you'll have to file a paper NC return. It doesn't matter who prepares and e-files the return, the outcome will be the same.

I can't file my state return without a federal return. I forgot to one year and they sent it back telling me I file properly.
