God did give animals the power of speech. The problem with us is that we cannot understand their communications!
If we read their 'body language', it will give us some clues as to what is being conveyed, but other than recording whale songs on a tape, we are not able to 'decode' the messages!
We would have to be born THAT animal to have the knowledge and therefore the power to speak with our own species!

Dude, peanutbutter? What? Animals do talk, in their own language. And the whole peanutbutter thing, even we can't talk with our mouths full of peanutbutter, atleast I can't.
