As it stands at the moment, "Argument" has the best answer so far!
Yes...it was meant to be humorous...I can't help it if it pisses someone off.

I'd love to respond to your question but I don't know very much about the Koran and what Islam teaches , so I cannot truly make a fruitful or righteous comparison. All I know is that when you get into the Word and start to learn from the teachings, your actions will line up with the way God wants you to act. And anger is acceptable - just not sin in the anger and do not allow the sun to go down before you get rid of it -daily!

I disagree. The Crusades, the Inquisition and the Burning Times were all "meltdowns" by upper-middle-class white Christian men.

And some of the Islamic precepts could be considered instructions to "behave yourself."

A better question would be:

Why are we letting any religion be the boss of us? Why don't the non-religious people of the world just have an uprising and say, "A plague on both your houses!"?

Mao, Stalin, Pol Pot, Hitler - and other prominent atheists have murdered their tens of millions. Am I then to conclude that all atheists are murderers and approve of their genocide? Not honestly.

Just because history is full of religious people who did evil things does not mean that these people are in any way representative of the religion that they are quite obviously not following. Even Jesus had his Judas. Religion always has attracted crackpots as well as true followers. Religious people and atheists teamed up to crucify Christ 2000 years ago, (and some no doubt would repeat the performance if given the opportunity.) It is very convenient to demonize any group of people and thus dismiss everything they say without honestly considering it. But these are he tactics of the intellectually dishonest and lazy. Try letting go of the blanket hatred/fear of groups of people that are not like you. People are individuals.

not very intelligent.

but, you may want to communicate that to christian followers.

they are the ones having meltdowns...all the time, spreading hate and divisiveness in this country, and others... and a history chalk full of warring, mass-murder and hate. more killing than any other cult, in fact.

Humorous at best, although I hope humour is all that you were aiming for, because you certainly did not do a good job of conveying your point...

No. Neither is accurate.

Monotheists are always going to act out- their beliefs are very narrow-they must believe there is a god, all gods but that one aren't there, and that they have picked the right name for god to worship.

That's very stressful.

Add to that the idea in many monotheist groups that people suck, and melt-downs are accptable.
