My husband and I are having a disagreement. I call them crab rangoon, and the restaurants here call them crab and cream cheese puffs. I call the noodle thing lo mein, but the restaurants call it chow mein. To me, chow mein has no pasta.
What's the difference? What are the correct terms?

im not exactly sure but as far as i know you are right and the restarraunt is a little looney

Mein (mien) is the Chinese word for noodles, so both lo mein and chow (chao) mein are noodle dishes.
Lo mein means tossed noodles, and chow mein means fried noodles.

You are right. They are crab ragoons and lo mein is the one w noodles and chow mein is the one that is rice based.
