I own a small dog and a big dog. If I were to get more dogs in the future I will always stick to small dogs unless I live on 20 acres with no neighbors. Small dogs are easier to maintain all around. Golden's shed a lot and bring a lot of dirt into the house from their hair. I wouldn't want any of your choices but you need to consider a bigger dog will require more food, more exercise, more clean up. They get more hair in your car if you take them in there and you can't pick them up too easy. Sometimes the house doesn't matter its the area you have outside or the time, energy and strength you have to exercise them.

You should read up on the dogs you are thinking about.See what it in tails to raise them. Some are more active than others, some need more run time and some don't get out of puppydom till there 4-5 years old.Get what you will enjoy and what fits into your life, not what everyone else thinks you should get..You will be the one living with and raising it.

goldens need a lot of exercise, papillons are smart so you have to keep them entertained and chis are hard to housebreak. Out of the 3 I would get a golden because they are smart and nice.

Get a chinchilla, it's like a dog, but more efficient. They're also about 10 times easier to train, so there's that, too. They honestly live off of raisins and water. Also, you could get a whole family of them and put them in your house, as long as you don't have any furniture or anything. They rip that crap apart.

since you can have any size dog then the next thing you need to do is think about these things. yard room, available time, money, how calm you want it, if you have children. if you want a big dog then its going to cost more money, take up more time for exercise and need more yard space. big dogs don't generally want as much attention as little dogs. if you want a little dog then it don't cost as much but want more attention.another thing is if you want short hair or long. long hair requires grooming needs. short hair don't with the exception of getting its nails cut. also short hair dogs shed way more then long hair. since you have the space for any kind of dog maybe consider getting two little dogs so that they wont be lonely.
