i ve noticed that Most of the white guys i ve met prefer African to African American girls. I'm wondering why this is the case.I now realize that it's not the black thing but i don't understand. I ve African friends that i hung out with, all the african girls i know & i ve met are dating & some married to successful white American men.I don't mean to sound like a B but i'm beautiful & lighter in complexion than all my african friends. I do understand that African girls are good, thats why i prefer than as my friends but my do white guys always leave me out. whenever we go out as a group of friends, the white guys after talking to us will always ask for phone numbers of the african girls & leave us the african american girls out. I mean they do talk to us but thats it. they always seem to be more interested in the african girls.some African Americans say, you can bet that whenever you see a white man with a black woman, 90% of the time the woman is african.WHY.i'm attracted to white men

Yeah, I think it's more of a personality thing. I'll just speak for myself here but I think a lot of American girls (and western-european girls) put forward an 'I hate men' image; causing good girls like yourself to be lumped into a stereotype. (You said it yourself - 'African' girls are good - as if American girls aren't.) This is especially true for an African American girl who is interested in a white guy. I'm white and I would be doubly affraid to ask out an African American, for fear that she would just beat the crap out of me. :-) (A fear I have when dealing with most American girls, that I've just met, anyway.) Maybe you could just try to reassure the guys that you are not a psyco 'man hater' and make it a little more apparent that you are into them. Sorry for the long answer. Hope it helps.

You need to stop being so narrow-minded. It's your right to date any race you want, but why be so obsessed with one race? Instead of being obsessed with why the African girls get white men, why don't you work on yourself and try to meet men of any race? You also mentioned that you are much lighter than the African girls. That may very well be a part of your problem. You have been conditioned to believe that your lighter skin makes you more desirable than the very dark girls, thereby making you more entitled to being with white men. You were wrong to buy that myth. Maybe those particular white men simply love those girls for who they are and not for something as unimportant as their complexions. Maybe some of them prefer dark skinned girls, for one. Maybe those African girls are less obsessed with color and are more confident in themselves. An insecure woman can never be truly appealing. Stop assuming that your light skin is a trophy. Work on your character and one day you may meet Mr. Right, who could be of any race.

1. i would lose the skin complexion complex-being light doesn't make you white or even exotic.
2. try asking the white men candidly why they seem to prefer african women as opposed to african american women. see what their answers are and judge each person individually.
3. the minute you stop looking at the issue of skin and the basic issue of attraction(what's appealing to the eye may also be appealing to the heart) then you're better off dealing with issues of dating outside of your race..and seeing others date outside of their race and even more so their nationality(i assume these are american white guys).
4. try a non-american white guy. you may have better luck with a true scilian or a true australian, etc.
and enjoy life...love yourself and your skin first and understand that no one is better than you..just because they are african or light skinned or white american, etc. being black is beautiful...you are the envy of the world..believe me!

That's funny because I've never noticed this. I've had white men hit on me and I'm not African (I'm African-American.). I'm sure there are white men who would be interested in dating you.

maybe its the attitude you potray, if u act like u got 2 much attitude and have a look like u like drama i.e. like the girlfriend & girlfriends friend of one of the fbi dudes in white chicks. ppl tend to get intimidated by strong women, im not saying all do but most like the nice quiet girls which most soth africans seem 2 be. well i hope i helped and im sure if u spend more time with white ppl and dress like the african girls then im sure u'll find a white guy.

i think it is in the way African girls carry themselves. they have this sort of calm and sophisticated thing going on and that's probably what makes them so attractive. i dunno
