When my Aunt and I are together I feel I can speak more freely w/ her about things like family and health issues.
But when it comes to talking w/ my mother I fill inadequate.
Like she doesn't hear me or wants to hear how I am feeling.

When I am speaking w/ her at times she tends to raise her voice and it seems like she makes it all about her. Sometimes I do raise my voice at her as well and sometimes do call her names and I know that isn't right and sometimes go back and apologize to her later.
Then I go to my room and sulk about it as well.

If you are more comfortable talking with your Aunt about these things, I think that's ok. Especially if you and your Mom tend to argue a lot. Try to talk to your Mom about things that won't start a confrontation. Never call your Mom names....you will regret it down the road. If you have a disagreement, stay calm and just walk away from it without yelling. When you calm down, go back and try to finish the conversation. You can talk to your Aunt about certain things and your Mom about other stuff. Don't feel bad about it. But do work on your relationship with your Mom. Trust me, the older you get, the more you realize how important your Mom is to you in your life.

Yes, talking to your mother that way isn't right. That will shorten your days real quick. Be glad my mother isn't yours cause at the age of 22, I would be picking my teeth up. Anyway, if your aunt is a better person to talk to then that's OK. It could be that your mother didn't have anyone to talk to when she was young. That will make her feel uncomfortable. Just go to her one day when you two are in a good moods and just sneak it up on her and say something like, "I wish you and I could be close enough to talk about anything." It may work and it may not work, but, at least she'll have it on her mind that her daughter wants a closer relationship. Sooner or later, she just may come around. Just try your best not to be disobedient because that's a mighty high price to pay. Your mom is accountable for her own mistakes as well as you are accountable for yours. Calling her names and being disrespectful will cause her not to feel comfortable talking to you. Your aunt will tell you the same thing if she cares.

This is normal. The reason why you can talk more freely to your Aunt is because she's not your mother. Your Aunt can be your friend, your mother can't. Yes, in someways your mother can be your friend, but ultimately she's the one who is supposed to disclipline you and raise you. She can't do that as your 'buddy'.
Sit down with your mother and approach her on your concerns. It will be difficult, but it is necessary. I had to do this about a year ago. I was surprised at the things my mother told me, and how wrong I was about many things. Your mother loves you, she probably just doesn't know how to relate to you. She may feel inadequate compared to your Aunt and not know how to approach you.

Who sayz ur mother has to be ur best friend? its cool that u have an aunt to talk to. i feel inadequate with all my aunts.
i think ur still a young adholescent right ? theres a transition period for a girl ..when she becomes a woman. that period is very awkward.
u have to find topic which ur mom and u can share and talk about. like ..hoursework ? or homework ? u can talk to ur aunt for private things.
dont worry ..its just a phase ...when u grow older ...ull understand eachother better. just be patient. shez ur mother and she loves u very much. just include her in little parts of ur life. not necessarily all of them.

It all will depend on what the occasions had been. If it had been my husband or boyfriend and he simply occurred to be ingesting one night time and would not have been using, I might aid him. If he was once anybody with a ingesting hindrance and he almost always drove under the influence of alcohol and simply occurred to get stuck this time, I might frequently go away him in prison and be on my strategy to higher and bigger matters.

It is always easier to talk to an aunt sometimes, your moma
probably has alot on her mind.
U may just have to write your moma little notes to get thru to her. It may work better, or send her emails.
Have respect and be nice to your moma, she loves you.
