No, I don't. But I do understand much of the time why they do what they do and say what they say. Sarcastic remarks show the signs of a person who is insecure and perhaps has been hurt terribly in their own lives. Responding to others over time, has created in them a need to 'cut'em down', cut'em off. BEFORE THEY, THEMSELVES are hurt. I have met more men who were sarcastic and wise-mouthed than women. And when you get to the bottom of their reasoning - it's all the same - hurt, anger, rejection, lack of self-esteem and unwillingness to bottom out (face reality of these things in themselves) and be honest. You don't have to hurt other people with your words just because someone has hurt you. Good question. Makes me think even more that it is important that we think about what we say to people before we say it. Thanks

Only when it's appropriate. I find it frustrating when the sarcastic wise-asses are coworkers and I'm trying to get work done.

Yeah , I do. Unless they are like that ALL the time, and have no other type of personality/mood. Then they just seem immature and they become annoying.

no, it is a defense mechanism for poor self esteem if you ask me. they are trying to hide something that they feel uncomfortable about. They don't want you to know that they are flawed.
