I went to do groceries last night for about $100, when i arrived home, i still had the original amount on me, as if the cashier didn´t charge me. I am not sure what happened, because i remember myself paying him. What should i do, should i bring the money back. I am thinking , this is a big corporation and they make a lot of profit and i should maybe forget about it, and on the other side i think of the cashier who makes a couple of dollars per hour, and i don´t feel comfortable thiking he will have to pay for it.
What should i do?

i just called on the phone and ask the department in charge by giving the name of the cashier, and the cashier number, they said there was no money missing at the end of the night. So it means my boss paid me 100 more yesterday.
I know giving it back would have been the right thing to do, even if he made a mistake, probably having to pay for it would make him learn and be more cautious in the future, it´s sad to think this poor guy will have to work 20 hours for free.
I will give it back to my boss tonight.

Thanks for the good advice, there are good people on Yahoo answers.

actually, cruzan has a good point, i am realy into the secret and the law of attraction and it says things like that are suppose to happen, you get money in the most unexpected ways.....

But it´s not like i found in on the street, my boss told me, honestly i don´t know if i gave you extra money or didn´t .
But as i called the store. I know he must have.

Definitely take it back. He could get fired for coming up a hundred dollars short. Plus, it's just the right thing to do. Negative karma will result if you keep the money.

I would speak to the cashier that served you and ask them if there was a problem with their balance on that occasion. The operators name should be on your receipt.

That way you can clear your conscience without (necessarily) clearing out your wallet!

i would say "let your conscience be your guide"

if this happened to me & i didn't have some connection to the thing like a boss, money, cashier, etc, i would keep it. i saw some post about karma & maybe it WAS your karma to get the cash! ??

$100 is a lot of money especially if the cashier has to make up the difference for the missing amount. Take it back, along with your receipt. Your honesty will be appreciated.

Yes, you would not want to eat groceries which you did not pay for, unless you are on welfare.

Take it back...it's bad Karma to keep it. You'll only pay for your dishonesty with bad fortune.

As much as I would like to tell you to take it back, I know I wouldn't. It was their mistake, not yours.
