I've bought some "young" spinach. Can I saute it like I normally would or is it better raw?

Baby spinach is great ANY way you do it. Do you ever make ramen noodle soup? I like to add dried veggie flakes at the start, then I slice spinach leaves into thin strips and add it when I take the soup off the heat. Very good! Also like to saute it with other sliced veggies in a little bit of olive oil.

Saute some garlic until it is transparent (don't let it go brown), add your baby spinach just until it wilts. It will only be a matter of seconds. Add some red pepper flakes and salt to taste, squeeze the juice of a fresh lemon over it and serve.

"Young spinach" is wonderful in a salad, but can also be cooked. Because the stems are fine and not woody, you can saute it briefly in a saute pan with a touch of olive oil. It will be done in about one minute or less.

Well, any vegetable is better raw, especially spinach. When spinach is cooked it produces a oxided chemical. If you have to have it cooked, lightly steam it.
Gonna do raw, cut up in a salad or eat as a replacement for lettuce like on a sandwich.

Stem the spinach over the burner on low heat 4 about a minuet. add garlic and your favourite spices while its steaming and then spread the steamed spinach on a platter quite thin and while it is still hot add parmesan cheese on top. GOOD LUCK

baby spinach is excellent as salad greens - sweet, none of the bitter characteristics of the older greens.

you can saute as well - will work fine - but it will wilt down even smaller than the older greens do.

spinach flan

boil the spinach (add a bit salt as well)
make a dough and put spinach and white cheese in it... and when you're finished, put a bit sesame and rub egg.. then put it in the oven and cook it.. until it gets crispy...

or you can make eggs on spinach too... boil the spinach, add a bit salt... crack the eggs on it...

you can do almost anything you want- but if you want it in the healthiest form, eat it raw, like in a salad, or lay some cooked fish or chicken on a bed of spinach, raw or boiled, sauteed, steamed.

Either way is good, but a nice spinach salad with balsamic vinegar dressing, some cherry tomatoes, some purple onion. maybe a few nuts such as pecans, and if you like feta cheese. that's one good salad. mmmmmm

I like to cook it for just a few seconds to wilt it. Try it in a hot skillet for like 30 seconds and the top with some Parmesan cheese.

It's delicious!
