That just goes to show you that 'God' has nothing to do with the stupidity of man, nor does he/she/it have anything to do with our free will. The concept of 'God' and religion is a man made. There is no divinity at work on this planet or any other.

God allows free will in all mankind. We have the choice to choose what is right and what is wrong. If I get pregnant, I'm going to choose to keep my baby b/c it's the right thing to do, not to mention I really want another child. There are so many people out there that choose the wrong thing in all aspects, but God doesn't like it. He wants us to choose Him and His way through our own free will.
As for 100 years ago, they weren't as technologically advanced as we are now, so they didn't have any way to hear the baby's heart beat nor see the baby on a sonogram. Obviously, the only way to tell that the baby was alive is when it started to kick and move around. That's just common sense.
As for God changing his mind....NO! He always was, is, and always will be and his mind will never change.

right that's what God has to declare concerning the killing of an unborn baby: “Now think 2 adult males are combating, and in the technique they by twist of fate strike a pregnant woman so she provides beginning upfront. If no added harm effects, the guy who struck the female ought to pay the quantity of reimbursement the female’s husband calls for and the judges approve. yet while there is added harm, the punishment ought to tournament the harm: a life for a life ...” — Exodus 21:22-23 (New residing Translation). It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work out from scripture that God is adversarial to the handy killing of an unborn baby — or abortion on call for.

You've got 3 questions here.
#1, God allows us to direct our free will into any field we'd like. That means we can discover civil rights and cures for cancer if we wish. It also means we can pursue atmoic weapons and abortion as well. That part is up to us.
#2, Because 100 years ago scientists couldn't do things like monitor an unborn baby's heartbeat or measure their brain waves while they are still in the womb.
#3, God doesn't, nor has He, changed His mind about anything, as far as I know.

religion and god issues are hard to discuss, this god is the same god that had the law, that any woman who perform premarital sex before marraige (even once) shall be stoned to death at her fathers door. when the israelites came to the promised land after 40 years of wandering their was squaters the cananites, god ordered the israelites to ANNIHILATE the canites, man woman children BURN the CROPS and kill the all the livestock coz they are evil too. --- in Catholicism abortion is allowable in just means if it endagers the life of the mother (or if the fetus is genetically homosexual ehemm ehemm) but CONDOMS are ILLEGAL ... Biggest F-kin Irony ever (-911-). perhaps he does not like what he sees. but god is only watching. ONLY WATCHING

So, I guess you blame God for the discovery of blades, bullets, gunpowder, and drugs (for Overdosing), huh?
This is a pitiful thing to put of God. You can't possibly blame him for the choices of simple-minded man. In that case, you must blame him for a parent that kills their child. Or a president that leads the nation into a rut. Or for a CEO that cheats his employees out of millions then leaves them broke.
You have to step back and see how man's decision has caused this results. Even the mother who CHOSE to go on with the procedure. She bares responsibility also.
Be REAL.

God allows us to be tempted, he gives us free will to do what ever we want, just because it here doesnt mean that we have to use it. it you see a fire, you have a choice to touch it or not right? well that is what God does, God allows things to happens for a reason, it's what we do that really matters to Him. i dont know why people didnt believe that babies were alive. babies swim around in the womb form the time they are concieved, just because there is no heartbeat doesnt mean that, it's not life.

God talks about knowing you in your mother's womb. He hasn't changed His mind. Unfortunatly we don't always listen when we're supposed to...Only good things come from the father....abortion is not a good thing....How do you know there weren't angels whispering to the "creators" of abortion, to stop that it was a bad idea? But they choose to ignore God's voice.

I think man changed his mind not God. When people not believe in God, He allows them to show what they can do. We see this very much today, people have everything under control, sickness, nature, hunger etc. But, when people who not believe screw up they sure do believe it is God's fault. LOL!
