I asked this guy to prom and he said yes..this was last friday. yesterday i wa talking to his friend..and told him who my "date" was so then his friends said that he doesn't know what i am talking about. when i talked to him about it he said he was just joking and he thought i was joking ....do u think he was realy joking? I don't understand i am soo confused ...i joke around with him but not like that. don't know what to do...how will i look at him?

Boys are 'bout retarded. Do not be embarrased because he is being an asshole. He knew you were being serious he is just trying to confuse you. Go to him ask him seriously does he want to go with you or not because if not you can find somebody better to go with. Dont play games, ya'll arent little kids anymore. Then go from there. Then, when you go to the prom, look damn good in ur dress and make him sorry for what he did! Show him you are over it. If he says yes tell him stop playing games with you and other people and be serious. Tell him stop acting like a little *** kid. Good luck!

You are going to have to suck it up and ask him. I know it will be tough and maybe a little embarassing, but it is the only way to do it. If you want to try to keep it low key, you could say, "I'm trying to pick a color for my dress. What colors would you like? I don't want to pick a color that you don't like and that you would have to match with your tux to my dress." Now, that leaves it in his court to tell you if he was joking or not. However, it is really best to just confront him about it. Beating around the bush only wastes time and could cause further confusion.

Oh you poor dear, this is why you do not ask guys out. If you let them do the asking you know that they are seriously wanting to go out with you. Or if you do as a guy, you should make certain that you know he'll say yes first. This boy sounds like a jerk, don't worry about it. In a little while it will be forgotten. Just try to keep your head up and move on. Hopefully someone more wonderful will ask you to go with him.

It would be best to speak directly with the guy you actually asked. Don't be embarrassed! You want to know what the h*ll is going on. If he claims his answer was a joke, keep your head up, ask someone else & go to prom looking fabulous.

Don't listen to he say she say. Go to the guy and ask him yourself if what you have been hearing is true that he just thought you were joking and so he was joking when he said yes. We can't answer that for you only this guy can so just be bold not rude or upset or angry and talk to him about this. Stop listening to OPA and just talk to the source of the matter. THIS GUY!!!!!! Why are you embarrassed?? Just go up to him and say, "Hey, I wasn't joking about the prom thing. Do you want to go or not?" Then have him give an answer.. If he says no, then cool, go with someone else.. If he says yes, you're back to what you were before...

Ok my main peice of advice would be to sit him down and talk to him yourself. Dont be embarassed, he might think that you were joking but you can explain that you werent. I am sure that anyone would be lucky to go to the prom with you and you should see it that way too! So gather you confidance and go talk to him....
