Always get your cut after the relaxer.

I am going to assume that you are not a hairstylist and that you have bought the relaxer at a beauty supply.

Please do not attempt this yourself. Chemical relaxers are dangerous chemicals to play with if you do not know what you are doing.

Chemical relaxers can be made with one of two chemicals. Either ammonium thioglycolate or sodium hydroxide. Both of these chemicals can be extremely damaging to your hair if use wrong or serious injury to your skin if used carelessly.

Please do not attempt this yourself, see a hairstylist. Even the most experienced hairstylist wouldn't attempt this upon themselves, they would have another help them.

After. This way you can get all the damaged ends off. If you wear it straight, you'll get a better haircut if you cut it dry after it's been relaxed.
