My EX-BEST FRIEND converted to islam, (by the way the conversion is not the reason why she is now my EX-BEST FRIEND, it's because she tried to stab me with a knife). If you and your soul are trulely serious about converting, goto your local mosque and ask the people there. I do have to admit they are very friendy and helpful and stick together. look on the internet and learn about the religion. First of all be true to yourself and your God. If you do decide to convert, you need to be 100% dedicated you have to pray like 5 times a day no matter where you are at, and be able to wash yourelf and have a prayer rug, you must also cover youself only you face can show(all day everyday no matter where you are at), and be able to tollerate a lot ignorance, sterotyping, and racial remarks by other people. I'm Catholic and personally it's not the religion for me, but i do believe that we are all praying to the same GOD. We just practice different ways of praying to him and believing in him. Just make sure that this path to God is right for you. Don't just settle for it. Educate yourself about several different religions, and if Islam is right for you, then go for it.

i does not say that devil made me convert, lol. i don't have faith in god, for this reason i don't have faith in devil the two. i did no longer rather 'convert' to something. I merely got here to a call that the assumption of a god, such because of the fact the only interior the monotheistic religions, isn't working for me. If there's a god, i do no longer think of he might deliver human beings to 'Hell'. this is the stupidest concept to me. that for the time of itself might have been sufficient for my recommendations to provide up believing in him. there are various greater different motives to checklist right here. life now is not greater effective, yet no longer worse. a minimum of I haven't any guilt over each and every thing, and no concern of a few propose god who places human beings in hell. faith is there for people who want practise. i understand a thank you to be ethical without an invisible guy threatening me to take action with hearth. extra: do no longer attempt and say i do no longer understand the religion. i became raised with sunday college, and characteristic my short suras memorized. I did examine the finished Quran in English (that's wonderful and that i understand it), and studied different religions as nicely. it is not something against Islam. it is against the assumption of god greater often than not i do no longer consider.

Go to your local mosque and ask for an Imam and tell them that you want to take Shadah. You have to make sure you cover your hair with something and take off your shoes before you enter the mosque. You'll have to say in Arabic 3 times:La ilaha illa ALLAH, Muhammadur rasoolu ALLAH. Then in English 3 times: I testify that there is no God but God(ALLAH) and that Muhammad(PBUH*) is his slave and messenger. Then you are Muslim. No eating pork, no drinking alcohol, no doing drugs, no wearing sexy clothing, you'll only be allowed to marry a Muslim man, no tattoos. You'll need to get an Abaya and hijab from somewhere. Ask some sisters at the mosque if they can help you out. You'll need to learn Arabic becuase our prayers are said in Arabic. You might also want to learn how to write and read Arabic as the Qur'an is in Arabic. No smoking. No celebrating any pagan holiday. The only holidays we can celebrate are Eid ul-Fitr and Eid Al-Adha. We don't celebrate any holiday that doesn't have anything to do with Islam. We recognize all the prophets of ALLAH from Adam to Muhammad(Peace be upon them all*). We recognize that Jesus/Isa is a prophet of ALLAH. You should also learn the Muslim months as those are very important as you will be required to fast during Ramadan during daylight hours. You don't have to pray or fast on your periods. Any days you miss in Ramadan during menses you will be required to make up. You are to take care of your parents when they reach old age. You will also be required to perform Hajj when you are financially and physically able to. I'd advise to wait until you are married that way your husband can accompany you. You won't be allowed outside without your husband. The five daily prayers are performed at specific times of the day. They are Fajr(Dawn) which is done silently and consists of 2 units, Zhur(noon) which is done siliently and is 4 units, Asr(afternoon) which is 4 units and is done siliently, Maghrib(Sunset) which is 3 units and the first two are done aloud while the last one is done silently, and Isha(Evening) prayer which is 4 units and is done silently. Women stand behind men during prayer. You can not talk during prayer either otherwise your prayer is void and you have to start over. You will also have to learn Wudu(ritual purification) before you can pray. All boys when born are circumcised. Everyone is born Muslim. Welcome to Islam sister. Alhamdullilah(Praise be to ALLAH).

Learn about the religion first and if you are convinced then you can convert by saying the Shahadah (profession of faith) in Arabic: "Ash hado an La illaha illalaho, wa ash hado ana Muhammadun Abdohoo wa rasoolo" ("I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger") in the presence of a muslim witness.

Conversion is a serious matter, so it is not to be taken lightly, do not go about it if you have doubts. Be ready for all the rules and changes that you will need to make in your life, be ready for criticism, ostracism, neglect, be ready to face hostility from family and friends. Be ready to face conflicting beliefs within muslims and for people trying to pull you towards their side. But if you are convinced then Allah will give you the strength to bear all that and more.

You do not have to convert. As in Muslim Faith, every child is born a Muslim. To pronounce that you have reverted, you have to have just two witnesses for your Shahada. You have not disclosed yours. In some countries, there may be some requirements of Law.... !

Study the faith. Read about it. Converting to Islam is not easy there is no formal way. You should find it in your self if Islam completes you. If you are faithful enough then you will find the right path towards conversion. God himself will say when. When he does, you will hear Him and you'll know instantly.

I am a Christian, Jesus (Peace be His name) is a part of Islam too.

ohh marshallah!i also converted.

The act of becoming a Muslim could not be simpler.

An individual needs to make the declaration, known as al-shahaadatain.

Arabic is the language of the Holy Quran, and you will see below that the declaration has been written in Arabic transliteration to make it easy for you to follow. The English translation is provided in the brackets.

The declaration is in two parts:

Ash-hadu alla ilaaha illallah
(I bear witness and attest that there is no god worthy of worship but the One God Allah (swt))

Wa ash-hadu anna Muhammad-ar-rasool ullaah
(I bear witness and attest that Muhammad (saaw) is the messenger of Allah (swt))

An individual who finds belief in Islam within his heart can become a Muslim by pronouncing the above declaration. Alhumdalillah.

As a muslim certain Islamic duties are now obligatory on the individual, but there is no need to feel scared or concerned about this. There are many sources of help for you, and many new brothers and sisters that will be very keen to assist you. You may find the following pages useful:
