I am at the point where I CANNOT stand it any more. All hours of the day and night this cat meows! I have 2 other cats besides this one and they don't do it. Why all of a sudden has this cat started doing this? I am at the point where I am either ready to get rid of it or start selling violin strings! I am at my wits end!

She has food and water. Also this cat has never been one that you could pick up or hold and cuddle.

If she is really meowing that much, she may be sick. Cats usually meow when they want something (that's their way of communicating to us). It sounds like she wants your attention, either because she's sick or because she feels neglected. I would take her to the vet, or at the very least--call the vet and ask if you should bring her in.

If the cat is not spayed , there is a good possibility that it is in heat. They usually meow and make odd yowling noises, roll around on the floor, flip their tail off to the side *so disgusting* and lay with their stomachs on the floor and their butt up in the air. If the cat is doing any of this, she is in heat and the only solution is to have her spayed.

Is she spayed?
If not that's more than likely what the problem is, once she's spayed that behavior will stop.
If she IS spayed and this is a new behavior then a trip to the Vet is in order.
Anytime cats all of a sudden start doing something that they've never done before that can be their signal to use that something is physically wrong with them.

If it is a Siamese or Oriental breed or if it has Siamese or Oriental blood somewhere in it's family, that could definitely explain why it is so vocal. I have a history with Oriental cat breeds and there is nothing wrong with them when they meow, they are just a vocal breed. But if you just have a female who is in heat then you should get her fixed and she will stop her loud vocalizations. If you want to keep this cat and it is a female in heat and you do not want to neuter it or if it is Siamese or Oriental, then you need to learn to love the sound of it's voice.

Sounds like the cat is in heat. Get her spayed to have her stop doing it.

Are they females? They maybe in heat? I know my girls were doing that ALOT. And it seemed to be really loud at night. If they are in heat, they will be meowing loudly, squinting their eyes, hunching up their back and rubbing against things and rolling around. They will sound like they are in pain. Or it maybe an animal that they are sensing around your house. Good Luck............
Peace.....

is she fixed? my cat just started doing that becasue she's in heat. if that's the case, she'll stop in a couple days, then you should get her spayed or she'll be at it again in every few weeks.

Get it speyed! If it's already speyed, then it probably has a medical problem and needs to see a vet ASAP.
