ok on my birthday a couple of days ago my step cousin said she could not go out with me because her boyfriend who never met her family said so. We had this planned for months. They have been dating for a year and she still has yet to meet his parents, he does not want to meet hers etc. So I told her he was acting like an idiot. I feel like he is not good for her and she hung up on me and is no longer talking to me. I feel like she is acting like a child because I even aplogized twice. Should I keep trying to speajk to her or should I leave her alone? Everytime she gets a boyfriend she goes physco. I am married by the way. Thanks!~

well ...i personally think that what u did was the right thing to do. u meant well . iv been through the same thing ....right now ..she probably thinks ur jealous of her boyfriend. let her think that right now. shez not thinking straight ..he has alot of influence on the way shez thinking right now.
Just let her be. with due time she will understand that u meant well....u havent done anything wrong. just give her space. she needs it.

Dunno how old this girl is but she's not very mature. There is a certain type of people who let themselves be controlled and dominated, and the controlling dominating type can always find them. Clearly she and her boyfriend are those types, respectively.

He has probably made her feel that to talk to you now would be betraying him. If you want to help her, you're gonna have to apologize, even though you were not wrong, and re-establish a relationship with her. Then, gently guide her away from this controlling man and help her see the problem- again, very gently. Because when you are blunt about it, she's gonna rush to protect him. If you're subtle, you may be able to save not only your relationship with her, but save her as well.

If you are direct and honest with people, some of the things they will not want to hear, and you have to be prepared for the consequences. Perhaps SHE is the one who is being idiotic by continuing to see this guy? who knows, but if someone told you that your husband was acting idiotic, you might take offense too? If you are more worried about getting along with her than telling her how you see it, then censor your comments. (Common Sense)

Her boyfriend was acting like an idiot. Sounds like she is more controlled by him than her own thoughts. It does not sound like a healthy relationship. He's can't let her think for herself or else she'd realize how controlling he is and, hopefully, get out of it.

I would let it go, eventually she will move on to someone else and things will cool off. If not, then just maintain conversations when needed and move on to other friendships. I have a feeling that once she moves on to someone else that she will get over it.

Some people just don't like advice so leave her alone. When she comes to, she will apologize. It's a free world so leave her alone. After all, you apologized and she didn't accept.

Stop trying for now. She'll soon realize you were right. Even if it takes marrying the idiot first. :/
