Do the soldiers purchasing Bootleg DVDs in Iraq consider that they may be supporting the very terrorists that they were sent to fight?

I did spend 2 years in Iraq. I witnessed kids selling DVDs on the street. I never bought a bootleg in Iraq. I support the troops. My concern is that the money soldiers are spending on the street may be going unwittingly to buy the equipment used to kill Americans. If you knew the person hiring those kids to sell illegitimate DVDs was using the money fund terrorism would you still buy them just because they were cheap?

There are more free and PX/BX DVD's in Iraq than one could dream about. Plus all that are mailed in by supporters.

"bootleg" on your $400 DVD player? or notepad?

Sorry but not even an issue.

I seriously doubt that the terrorists receive a large portion of their financing from pirated DVD sales.

If the movie studios were smart, they would send the troops free copies of some of the most popular movies.

Why don't you go and fight, better yet start buying movies in the u.s., and send them over in care packages. Instead of complaining about nonsense, act give those real americans some support.

No worse than when the troops continued to buy french goods. Are you going to figure out that the troops aren't as political as you?
