icons on my desktop have letters below it where the icons are , it use to be white letters only now there is a color background, how can i get the white letters only back with no back ground color?

Proceed as follows:

1. Right click on 'My Computer' icon.
2. Select 'Properties'
3. Switch to the 'Advanced' tab.
4. Under the 'Performance' frame, click on 'Settings'
5. A new window will appear; switch to the 'Visual Effects' tab.
5. Scroll down and check the box entitled :"Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop"
6. Click 'Ok' repeatedly until you get back to your desktop.

you may basically delete icons (they're only shortcuts), this received't impression the corresponding courses. in case you want to take Microsoft's icons off the computer, receive TweakUI (record TweakUiSetup.exe) form Microsoft. this can do this the better way. And it has a lot more beneficial sensible feachures.

you can find a setup in your control panel go to desktop themes and look through that for your icon options

Taht's because the format of the Wallpaper picture.try bmp or jpg.
