I have a Pug. He is my constant companion, not too hyper and a great watch dog. He will never be an attack dog but if anyone steps one foot on the driveway he lets me know.

Hi There! I have a female shih tzu. We live in a small home and my hubby travels so I am alone most of the time during the week. She has been the best pet I have ever had. She doesn't bark, was easy to housebreak and I worked. She isn't hyper and very loving. She loves everyone and expects them to love her. She sheds very little and I keep her hair cut short. I really don't think you could ever find a better companion. I used crate training to house break her and found alot of wonderful information on the internet. Last but not least, she is absolutely beautiful.

I would suggest a Jack Russell, but only if your house has a yard. My Jack is well behaved and is mellow inside the house for long periods of time. He does need some time to run and get some exercise though. He actually prefers being inside though! Good Luck!

A female boxer is the best. She won't get too big and there is no better dog for fun and loyalty. Plus if you ever settle down and have children, there is no better dog with children. Very little shedding and hair makes for cleanliness and smells good.

Doberman Pinschers. They are very intelligent , protective of you and your home, and loving and affectionate. They will do in a small home if trained and as long as he gets his exercise by walks or playing out in the yard.

shitsu (I think that's how you spell it) Anyways, they are so cute and they have hair not fur so they don't shed. They're really small and adorable!! But they do need to have hair cuts and need their hair to be combed everyday and I think they need some of their teeth pulled but not sure. good luck!
