can herniated disks be caused by smoking?

No they don't cause it but is stops the healing process, when I had my spinal surgery they added special meds in my spine because I am a smoker, and they were afraid the bone graft would not take hold.

only if the smoking causes wracking coughs, which might herniate a disc. Good luck and God bless.

no it doesnt.. herniated disks is caused by prolonged heavy lifting of objects..
