You need to take the door panel off; fortunately it's very easy in this vehicle. The metal grill panel is held on with bent tabs through slots in the door panel; you might be able to pry it away, but it would be nearly impossible to put back on again without getting behind the door panel anyway.

To remove the door panel, pry out the little lock switch insert; pry off the small panel around the door release handle; pry off the little triangular piece at the top front corner. Then pry up on the inside edge of the power lock/window switch panel to release the clips; unplug the panel and remove it. Remove the screws under the armrest and inside the opening where the window switch piece was. Remove the entire door panel by LIFTING UPWARD on it, not prying it outward away from the door. Be careful of the marker light in the lower rear corner; you'll have to pull the bulb out of the socket before you can completely take the door panel off.

Good answer above except. You "have" to take door panel off to get to mid-bass.

You also "must" take off the panel cover to get at the tweeter to replace and "only" way to to this is from behind the panel.

If you try and pry off you will bend and destroy the cover and yes "only" way to replace it is from behind.

Don't try and take shortcut here or you'll f*#& up your speaker cover.
