I personally don't think so.

Good question. Ultimately, I don't think that China has the capacity to move enough troops to the Unite States for an invasion. Indeed, even if they did have the ships and aircraft available for such a raid, they'd have to get through the US Navy and US Air Force first, which wouldn't be easy.
Assuming that they could defeat US naval and air power, their naval and air capacity would be diminished, not to mention they'd likely lose a large number of transport ships in the process. Hence, remaining invading forces would have to engage the US Army and Marines in ground combat, not to mention roughly 80 million US civilians armed with light weapons.
It would be an extremely costly endeavor for China as a conventional war. However, an invasion of that magnitude would likely escalate to nuclear war, and China would not win such a contest with the US. Hence, as things currently stand, I don't see where China has the capacity to defeat the US via invasion.

Absolutely not. Not now, or in the future. Currently, our manufacturing could not sustain a war, but if the entire country were to go to war (like in WWII), our economy will expand at an enormous rate. Also, keep in mind that to transport an attack force capable of overwhelming the US across the pacific undetected would be impossible. In terms of strength, their tanks don't compare, they would lose the air war before the war started, they may have more infantry, but then again we have weapons such as the Standoff Dispenser, which could wipe out an entire column.
On a better note, a war with China is unlikely at present.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!!
Do you know why we lost the Vietnam War? Why we are losing in Iraq and Afghanistan? Why the Soviets lost in Afghanistan? It wasn't due to lack of technology, but because of what technology can NOT do: understand the mindset of the enemy. The insurgents in Iraq know where the good hiding places are, they know our weakness and how to exploit it. For example, if the Chinese army marched into Los Angeles, they would be wiped out, why? There is enough guns in LA to fight the Chinese army in a head to head combat, the people in LA know where the good hiding spots are and there are enough thugs in LA that have no respect for the American government, why should they respect a foreign one. They shoot cops for fun, but a Chinese soldier, they will carve them up real nice (Scarface is my favorite movie)
But, keep in mind I am talking about a ground invasion, but if you are talking about a nucelar attack, well, put it this way, America has such a strong tie to the world economy that if China attacks the US, The WORLD will attack China. China really doesn't have any reliable allies. Even Russia would turn against China, if they haven't already.

I do not think the Chinese could defeat the American Military now but in the next 10 years yes. I think this because 1. they have more troops 2. they are upgrading the soldiers weapons 3. they are building more and more nuclear subs and weapons 4. We just entered what i believe to be a space race and they have already got a lead. Only then will china be able to beat us. But as of today no we can win easily. Now you also have to think we are allies with China who really thinks we will ever go to war with that country

Here is an easy way for China or any country to win.
Retreat to the hinterlands and wait for the US populace to get sick of the war and the democrats and republican tear each other up at election time. The US will then tire of the war, pick up their toys (but state the "support the troops" and come home. Then start recieving checks for economic aid to rebuild. It is that simple!

There is no question that China would lose. They don't have the support equipment to even move 1/10 of that number of people over here.
China has been spending more on their military, but the US military budget is 10x larger still.
Trust me, China does not have the capacity for a US invasion. Not only that but they would not, the US has enough nuclear missles to destroy their entire country.

Keep in mind; there has never been a nation with citizens as well armed as the USA. There are like 2 guns per person in our country. At the very least it would cost them 1/2 their population if they were even able to subjugate North America.
BTW, don't count on Mexico to help us out.

Well America lost in Vietnam and have done poorly in Iraq which suggests they would lose to the might of China. However, a war with China would be a 'traditional' war much like a modern WWII which is the type of war America prefers to fight. I think it would be a close one.

They would have to establish a beachhead on American or Canadian or Mexican soil. Which is very unlikely, but if they did, they would simply overwhelm us with infantry. If they established the beachhead too far from America, they would be defeated even with their troop numbers because our airforce would just pick them to pieces as they attempted to move either North or South towards the U.S.

Nope. 20 million people dissappear rather quickly when you drop a nuclear weapon on them.
Or even powerful conventional weapons. Iraq was a larger army than the US military and one of the largest in the world, and then 24 hours later wasn't the largest army in Iraq.
