With the abundance of multi-national organizations and the number of scientist studying global warming, it is a great leap of the imagination to think that any type of falsification of information could be taking place. The data on CO2 levels coming from different sources is is about the same. Anthropogenic sources are well documented and studied. The recent information on the two LARGE ice shelves that have collapsed is in itself indicative that warming is occurring. The growing seasons appear to starting earlier and lasting longer, that is just two observations that anyone could make. Add the scientific information to that and I do not see how anyone could doubt that warming is in fact occurring. It may be a natural cycle but there is no doubt that anthropogenic involvement is upsetting and exacerbating the natural cycle.

When approaching the issue of global warming, it is best to keep the beliefs and emotions to a minimum. Scientist present hypotheses, not facts. They interpret data and project possible outcomes. This is not the same as facts.
Reading the popular media can lead a person to conclude that "global warming" is:
o- either a hoax to promote business opportunities, politicians agenda and scientists grant money.....
OR
o- a problem related to overpopulation, industrialization and fossil fuels whose solution options lie in solar power, wind power, geothermal power and nuclear fusion....
However, the correct answer may be altogether different:
NASA has released never-before-seen images that show the sun's magnetic field is much more turbulent and dynamic than previously known. The international spacecraft Hinode, formerly known as Solar B, took the images. Hinode was launched Sept. 23 to study the sun's magnetic field and its explosive energy. National Aeronautics and Space Administration scientists said the spacecraft's uninterrupted high-resolution observations of the sun are expected to have an impact on solar physics comparable to the Hubble Space Telescope's impact on astronomy. "For the first time, we are now able to make out tiny granules of hot gas that rise and fall in the sun's magnetized atmosphere," said Dick Fisher, director of NASA's Heliophyics Division. "These images will open a new era of study on some of the sun's processes that effect Earth, astronauts, orbiting satellites and the solar system." Hinode is a collaborative mission led by
the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency and includes the European Space Agency and Britain's Particle Physics Astronomy Research
Council. NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., managed the development of the Hinode's scientific instrumentation provided by industry and federal agencies.
>>> as regards alternative energy methods, I favor development of the technology for nuclear fusion using lunar Helium 3

Just think of the thousands of jobs related to the whole global warming scare...Besides...what would the environmentalists cry about if there was actually nothing wrong?
I noticed a HUGE drop in scientist-backed stories about the warming thing but a HUGE increase in people trying to keep the myth alive.

I pretty much agree with anyone who shows proof of this. I am in a program in which we talk about current events in the world so right now I have done some research and my prediction of why scientists do this is to make us believe it's true and make them celebrities. Scientists are the ones who tell us the facts to what ever they are doing research on. So they just wanna get famous for untrue facts.

It's despicable! Global Warming/Climate Change is not as big a problem as some would have you to believe. A recent article in the New York Times has even asked Al Gore to stop all the hype:
http://www.nytimes.com/2007/03/13/science/13gore.html?_r=1&oref=slogin That same article talks about Al Gore's claim that the oceans could rise 20 feet is exaggerated by 18.08 FEET! The latest UN study on the subject says the seas could rise a MAXIMUM of 23 inches. Al was only 18.08 FEET off. That, my freind IS hype...
If you look up any global temperature chart on the net, you'll find the earth's temperature has only increased by about 6/10 of one degree (C) - that's 1.1 degree (F), in the last 125 years. So yes, the globe is warming up, but it's not overheating like some would have you to believe. http://data.giss.nasa.gov:80/gistemp/2005/2005cal_fig1.gif
The latest research shows that the methane from cows and pigs is a major factor in the increase of "heat trapping gas". It's actually 23 times more potent as a heat trapping gas than is carbon dioxide. http://www.greenpeace.org/international/campaigns/climate-change/science/other_gases According to the newest UN report on Global Warming, "Livestock are responsible for 18 per cent of the greenhouse gases that cause global warming, more than cars, planes and all other forms of transport put together." http://news.independent.co.uk:80/environment/article2062484.ece
So if Al Gore and all the alarmists really want to do something about climate change, they MUST become vegetarians and shut down cow and pig farms. I mean seriously, if they truly believe that global warming is as disastrous as they are preaching then they need to stop eating meat, period! I doubt that will happen. If not, then they are the hypocrites that some of us already suspect they are.
Also Al Gore preaches to you to conserve, but he does not practice it himself. He uses 20 times more energy in his Nashville mansion than the national average. http://www.tennesseepolicy.org/main/article.php?article_id=367
One thing he has not learned is that you MUST practice what you preach... at some point you will get caught as he has.

Al wants the fossil fuel for his plain and car and u to walk. If he is successful in this the gov. will raise taxes so that it will save more for the rich. If we go down with the global warming which I am sure it is not true let us all go together.

The jury is still out. One school says that we are causing it; the other says yes, partially but not that much. I suspect it's somewhere between the two views. The media chooses to side with the first group so anyone who disagrees with our media is dubbed an idiot.

i will relate with your frustration ok Linlyon. The abject poverty of wisdom which marks the present day those with their priorities so screwed up and their skill for self sufficient loose thinking compromised shouldn't in effortless terms originate from the invasive consequence of too plenty crass phantasmagorical entertainment and ideas numbing disinformation and incorrect information from the particularly controlled mass media yet additionally from very own laziness. the present day hundreds have become empty shells without substance with too plenty crap interior their heads. How ought to this be and how ought to people be so irrational and scarcity the self wisdom to understand this in this meant enlightened age of reason the place high quality preparation is barely one click away. as whether that's by utilising some atavistic inclinations the thought pushed mentality comparable to non secular fanaticism drives people to base their suggestions of reality on ideals fairly than the actuality of reality which will nicely be everyday by utilising good judgment and corroboration by utilising evidence and evidence. Its no scare mongering on my area however the only end that possible arrive at having seen the impoverished state of the collective wisdom and the turmoil that marks the present circumstances is one in all dire straits There can in no way be a sturdy consequence consistent with lack of expertise, egoism, arrogance, self aggrandizement, hatred, conflict, dishonesty, superstition, and the unwillingness of the people to direction ultimate from those treacherous paths for this reason the multitude of so numerous organic failures and synthetic calamities can in effortless terms be the inevitable consequence borne from human irrationality. It angers me a great deal to understand that many undesirable issues might nicely be prevented if in effortless terms people can come at the same time in the spirit of togetherness and of one concepts to cooperatively remedy our issues yet we can't because of the fact like cockroaches we are scattered everywhere in each and every direction so divided, so disharmonious, so unpeaceful, so apathetic, so uncaring and so distracted. the only determination left for us now's to helplessly see the punishment meted out to us in the form of organic failures by utilising nature come to pass in its maximum devastating sort in the resultant years yet to return. As I pronounced many circumstances in the previous, we've further this upon ourselves with the aid of our very own folly.

My view is that is what the right wing is saying. Scientists are just reporting their observations and predictions. These are very inconvenient facts for the right wing and their energy hungry industries as it will hurt their interests.
