Is 12 years to much?

I am 22 and he is 34...he is divorced and has 2 kids....that doesnt bother me but his neice is marrying my brother...

The big question depends on how old you are. If you are 17 and he is 29, then yes, that is too much. If you are 27 and he is 39, that is cool. Two of my sisters have married older men. One is 18 yrs older and the other is 20+ years older than my sister, so I know of what I speak. When you say "dating", there is nothing wrong with dating. The problem comes if a relationship becomes serious. Right now there are no obvious obstacles in your relationship because his health still permits him to be active in your life... just consider that when you are 50 he will be 62 and when you are 62 he will be 74. It is at these points in your life that you will notice the 12 years. Good Luck and follow your heart.... but think about the long run too.

My mother always seems to date people at least 10 years younger and because of it, I see it normal. If two people care and understand each other, age should have no say so in whether the relationship should work or not.

It all depends on your age. If your over 18 years old then twelve years is fine. I have been married to a wonderful man for seventeen years who is ten years older than me. Guess what? I'm still happy about it everyday. Good Luck and God Bless!!!!!

Nope! as long as your happy who cares!
Im 22 and my boyfriend is 18 - not a huge difference but we couldnt be happier!
My mum and her boyfriend have a 22 year age gap and she is very happy!
If its you we are talking about here you go for it girl!

i dont think thats age matters alot as long as you are 18 or older you can date any one you please...but if you are under 18 you should go for 5 years older or younger

i feel as long as you are over 18, then age shouldnt matter. my boyfriend is 15 years older than I and we couldnt be happier. as long as you two are on the same level and are happy, then age shouldnt matter, it's just a number.

I'm in a relationship where he is 18 years older than I am.
Age is nothing but a number, it is true ... but just make sure it's not illegal. Then there could be problems.

Only if your partner is under the legal age, other than that it is simply what works for you.
