Consult your doctor!
Your doctor will likely reccomend a high fiber diet. Nuts, vegetables, fresh and dried fruits... etc. Drink plenty of water and stay away from caffiene. Juices like apple or prune are good, but in moderation. Too much can take you from one extreme to the next.
Karo syrup works WONDERS! Make a mix of 1 part Karo and 3 parts water. Doesn't taste the greatest... but does work!
Exercise is also beneficial as it helps to relax the muscles relative to digestion and bowel movement.

In the past, I would have said pizza hut pizza...however, I understand they may have changed something so this may not happen anymore (although I'm too scared to give it another shot).
There's a new kind of girl scout cookie out this year - it's a sugar free brownie and it has a warning on the side of the box that it may have a laxative effect if too many are eaten (they are tiny and while recommended serving size is 4, yep, that's all it took...and I didn't see the warning until yesterday).

Get some fiber pills or fiber powder and mix with something and/or an easy laxative.
The best thing too is to exercise... and drink a lot of water. It sucks! And don't eat unhealthy foods.. I find that cheese causes constipation...

The first thing you do in the morning is take a large glass of very cold water. This will shock your system into action. Works every time!

Go to your local pharmacy and get a product called "Senekot" it's all natural and won't make you all crampy..or if you want to make a natural fix at home go and get some blueberries and eat them ..alot of them. or you can get an enema also but the best remedies are natural ones.like metamucil or senekot..

Molasses, and also drinking hot liquids often such as coffee or tea, especially first thing in the morning, will help "loosen things up".....
