English is the main language in the Philippines and India, not to mention Belize in Central America. It is also spoken in Jamaica. Ireland, Scotland and Wales have their own distinct varieties also. Welsh English sounds so different, that it doesn't even sound like English.

And then there's the Frisian language, which is spoken in the Netherlands and Northern Germany near England. Even though it is a Saxon language and is not actually English, Frisian speakers can be understood by English speakers, once you get used to the different pronunciation of some more common, "pure" English words like house, horse, or mouth.
