The writer is most important, because his message can be spread without the other two.
I am the "paper" because I am learning all I can right now about my religion, Islam.

I think the writer is most important. Without the writer, there is no need for paper of pencil.
I think I'm the pencil. I take what the writer wrote and spread it to more paper if possible. The paper represents what's written on - or when speaking of people - who get's what was written. The pencil transfers the words to more paper - or people.
Hope this answered the question.

I believe that what a person sets into writing is a greater act of consciousness than what a person speaks from their mouths. So, when one writes some of the vitriol that we see in this Forum, especially from self-professed believers, they are giving deeper evidence of the state of their faith to others.
Some may know the Word of the Lord, but they demonstrate by their written actions that they do not know the Lord of the Word.
