The first century christians met on the first day of the week for worship. They were also instructed not to forsake (miss) the gathering of the church.
"And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight." Acts 20: 7
"Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come." 1 Corinthians 16: 2 (this is a verse concerning giving or supporting the work of the church"
"Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." Hebrews 10: 25

Yes, I do attend church in my community. We are a Word of Faith church and follow the teachings of the late Kenneth Hagin. My prior denomination was Baptist - and I have nothing against the teachings however, since I have learned how to read the Word and believe Jesus for what He said, put His principals into practice (love, giving, etc.) I have seen His word work in my life. I attend church for several reasons - 1) the Word tells us not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together with other believers. Together is how we show love toward one another and we get refreshed at the fountain. (the Word of God). Additionally, because I am the Minister of Music at my church, I am responsible for creating the atmosphere of worship and praise in songs. I have a Praise Team and together, we sing anointed songs that usher in the Spirit and allow the people of God to enter in and worship, thus preparing us for the Hearing and Doing of the Word. I have attended church all of my life - and I have always worked in the church - I don't know what it would be like to come and sit and look. I know my place in the church body and I allow God to use me as He will to promote His kingdom. A great question.

I do not attend church, because I am not religious, so it is a waste of time. The seats are hard and there are annoying noises (choir and preacher quivering his voice) and worst of all, one is expected to give to regular offering, special offering and building fund. I can spend my money in much bettter ways than on such nonsense.

No. I walk past churches... but they are too thoroughly pointless even in relative terms for me to want to go into them.... a complete waste of space.
Now.... if I had some C4 explosives... maybe then I would go -to- church... and then -to- the next church... and the next.... and so on...
And then London would have a huge pyrotechnic display... and the world would be a better place.
Oh... right.
I forgot the mosques. I'd need enough C4 for them too.

Not only do I go to church but I'm the nursery and preschool director. My husband is a lay preacher and a deacon. But all that means nothing if we do not practice our beliefs. Being human, we fail but we are rejuvenated every Sunday and Wednesday by corporate worship.
