I have a puppy that is only about 10 weeks old. She has started to bite us if we correct her. For example, we have started teaching her COME by giving her treats when she does the command. When she is distracted, we will go put a finger under her collar and GENTLY pull her back in the direction we were calling her to show her what she is suppose to do. Lately she will bite at us when we do this and she is not playing. Also when we go to pick her up she does the same. We thought maybe she was tender somewhere so we checked her over and she is fine. We have 2 other dogs that never did this. When our older dogs do something wrong we tell them to lay down and on to their side and we stand over them. I just don't know if it is too early to do this to a 10 week old puppy, make them submit. My husband tried it and she freaks out for a minute but then finally calms down but it did not help the issue. How should I correct her dominance/aggression behavior?

Yes, Yes and Yes. Correction should be done from the moment they come into your home. What your describing is called mouthing and should not be tollerated. Sounds like she could have been one of the domante pups in the litter. She needs to know you and your husband are the top dogs now. When she tries to bite when being corrected just put your hand over her muzzle and look her straight in the eys and tell her no in a low stern voice. If she persists then grab her by the scruff of the neck and put her into a sumissive position (lay her down on her side) and hold her their gently but firmly until her whole body relaxes.
Your on the right track just keep up the good work.

Your other 2 dogs might not have, but most puppies bite. Is your dog snarling when she is doing this? If not, then most likely she is playing, even if it doesn't seem like it. If she is snarling, then maybe you need to take the dog to obedience school, but I have a hard time believing such a young dog would be exhibiting such agressive behavior.

Try grabbing her muzzle when she bites. Dogs don't like that.
