Hi,

I am not sure there are any side effects, but if you are not a smoker you should avoid taking nicotine gum. It is the same as smokeing except it is not getting into your lungs. There is no reason for you to be chewing it. It is for the main purpose of helping to get people off of ciggaretes. If you chewed it because a friend had it and you just wanted a piece of gum, you should be okay. If you notice a problem go to the doc and tell him that you chewed it and he can help you out.

Nicotine is seen as being harmful to the pancreas. If you chew this gum regularly for 30-40 years, you might develop pancreatic cancer.

As a side note, isn't this gum expensive, especially for recreational use?
