Would you say "it's a free country"??

Should you let her continue?

Would interfering with her actions be surpressing her free will?

If God won't stop her then who are we to interfere, right?

Well let's see if I beat you with a cord,is that is my free-will?...will you let me do it, and who are you to interfere? Funny how you could say God doesn't interfere, and how would you know?Because he doesn't smite that person right then and there? One must understand when it comes to these things just like this, that you can rest assure that God has it all under control and it dose NOT go unnoticed. Beating that child was a choice she choose,a free-choice,but never God's Will.He gave US the power to choose and with that comes consequences. It's never his Will that someone experience pain and hurt, especially a defenseless child. Who's to say that when you seen or heard that the child was beat, that it's wasn't a test of your free-choice,to show "who you are".

Since children are usually looked at as our "property", it is our right and our duty to interfere,
however,
a better question would be "if she were beating her OWN child"
Ah! NOW>>>>>>

That's a whole different ethical cup of tea!

Now it is our Moral and just obligation as a member of society and a compassionate human being to speak up, isn't it?
Tell the authorities?

OR do we just let it go and turn a blind eye? hmmm?
Most of us do, don't we?
Why is that?...

And then when the child ends up dead from a kick in the head,
all the neighbors who heard the constant beatings and crying can just shrug their shoulders and say "there was nothing I could have done".......

Such an absurd question but your point is well made. I think, however, that it only applies to fundementalist nannies, since they have the full weight of the will of god and the authority of the bible at their beck and call for whatever whim they feel like doing or justifying.

And no. I would exercise my right to protect my family and beat the babysitter into a bloody pulp.

No , I would first make sure there was a scientific basis for either stopping the baby sitter or not before taking action.
I would make sure that I had absolute scientific proof that this was causing my child any harm and then I would take action.

Silly sho-nuff. Sometimes we have to do the correct thing and exert right action over wrong behavior.

Free will does not bypass our society's laws, based loosely on the ten commandments. I would remove my child from her, then call the police. She should be dealt with by those paid to deal with this. At least that's what I like to think, honestly I'd probably smack her unconscious and ran over her repeatedly in my car. And yes, there would be lots of screaming, every neighbour in my street would know exactly what that psycho cow did. But really, it would be nice if I could do the latter...

What kind of stupid ? is this?? Um no she would be fired and would be facing charges. If God wont interfere? What?? We as humans and as Christians too must face punishment by our government and by law if we break laws or do something as stupid as beating a child with an extension cored (as you say) Yes one day she will have to face the judgment of God if she hasn't asked for forgiveness of her sins. But here on earth you still have to face punishment for what you do. We are to be held accountable for our actions. Read your bible.

Free will should not be exercised without the understanding of consequence. The babysitter is free to make whatever choice she wishes, but she must understand the penalty of making such a choice. That is the way God deals with us also.

2 Timothy 2:20 Now in a large house there are vessels [people] not only of gold and silver but also of wood and earthenware, and some for an honorable purpose but others for a purpose lacking honor. 21 If, therefore, anyone keeps clear of the latter ones, [ those lacking honor] he will be a vessel for an honorable purpose, sanctified, useful to his owner, prepared for every good work. 22 So, flee from the desires incidental to youth, but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace, along with those who call upon the Lord out of a Clean Heart. 23 Further, Turn Down Foolish and Ignorant Questionings, Knowing They Produce Fights. 24 But a slave of the Lord does not need to fight, but needs to be gentle toward all, qualified to teach, keeping himself restrained under evil. I hope this answers your question Of course one would stop her

Look, Sho, the world and everything in it is evil. This includes some babysitters who beat little children. The evilness of the world wasn't caused by God, so we cannot place the blame on Him when things turn out badly.

It's interesting that you would pose this question in the "Religion and Spirituality" section, because no mainstream Christian belief disputes free will in the sense that you are claiming.
