Muroc Army Air Field has many long runways, the longest of which, KEDW, is the world's longest runway stretching a runaway 7.5 miles or 12.1 kilometers in length. (Muroc Army Air Field was renamed Edwards Air Force Base in 1950 in memory of test pilot Glen Edwards.)

The longest public-use runway in the world is at Ulyanovsk Vostochny Airport, in Ulyanovsk, Russia. It has a length of 5,000 m (16,404ft). At 105 m (344ft), it should also be the world's widest paved runway.

Hope this helps. Good luck to you practicing your landings. Stay safe!

The one where they land the shuttle I would guess. The contingency location, not the desert.
