The Itche Kadoozy Show was created in 2003. Through a menagerie of colorful characters (puppets, live-action and animation) and irreverent humor, the show not only educates children and young adults on Jewish thought, tradition, practice and culture, but keeps them laughing the entire time.

Go through the basics. Also, go through the Old Testament and read some of the stories of the great Jewish leaders. There are so many great people in the Old Testament, of course, Adam and Eve, Noah, Abraham and Sarah, Jacob and Rebekkah, Joseph and his twelve brothers, Moses, Ruth, Esther, Nehemiah, Gideon, Deborah, Sampson and Delilah, Habakkuk, Malachi, Simeon, Samuel. Sorry, I went out of order and I didn't give everyone, but there are so many great histories in the Bible that can show the ups and downs of the Israelites that come from the twelve tribes. Jews have had a difficult existence since God started using them for His plan, but God gave them the strength to persevere and the ability to do his will.

There are many good children's bibles that show the stories from the Old Testament and the New Testament. I teach children to understand that all that God taught to the Jews was the pre-figurement or the beginning lessons that preceeded and demonstrated Christ. I explain that the Jews who are faithful to the teachings of God, will see the Messiah in the fulfillment of the Prophets either at the end of the world or when they meet Him upon their death. In other words, they will recognize Him. I also read the story about the Road to Emmaus where He says, "How slow you are to believe what the prophets and Moses said about me!" And they saw Him in the breaking of the Bread. (The Priestly Order of Melchizadek.) I also tell the children about the political party of the Pharisees that put Jesus to death, and how Saul was one of these Jews, until Jesus called him to become the Apostle to the Gentiles, known as St. Paul.

The more appropriate question here is why would you teach a 10 yr old about judaism? Wait until the kids older so they are not swayed by your propaganda to make a choice.

There are two versions of Judaism -- the Christian version and the Jewish version. Visit bookstores and look for children's books in the *Judaism* section. Visit the gift shop in a synagogue. Join a synagogue and send him to Sunday school.

I'd say start with the basics if it wasn't so vague. There are tons of good books out there to find out what these basics are but I can't remember what they are called. Rabbi Shmuley Boteach has a lot of good material on many topics.
