Does any one know of anybody in the UK who breeds a beautiful breed of dog called a Mi-Ki?

Please please help me find my perfect puppy.

So far the only breeders i can find are all in the USA.

I would be so grateful of any help.

and like you could find no breeders in the UK - which would mean that you'd have to import a puppy if you wanted one.

Couldn't help noticing though that in 'Temperment' section it said that the Mi-ki thinks it's a cat! Someone recently recommended that I got a Japanese Chin as a pet - this someone used to own & breed Chins& he says that they are very cat like - so maybe this could be an option for you if you can't afford to or don't wish to import.

I notice one of the others answering this question says that they are a cross between various other breeds ... I just answered a question about where to get a Maltese & saw an advert for Maltie/Shih Tzu crosses ... they are really cute, especially the ones in Ceredigion - & if you google image search on Mi-ki some of the photos look really quite similar:

I've never heard of this breed so I assume what your looking for is actually a MUTT. Mi-Ki's are a cross between a shih-tzu, maltese and japanese chin - plus someother toy pooches mixed in. They have no defined standard and are not recognized by the CKC, UKC or AKC. Since there isn't a standard - any small mutt can qualify. They have droop, prick and folded ears, come in all colors and have both smooth and rough coats.
Why would you spend that much on a little dog that you can find in almost every local shelter???




Mutts are the best dogs in the world - but I don't think we should be making more of them since we have so many of them dying in shelters.

Don't waste your money. This is not a breed - it's a so-called designer dog. Thankfully not yet available in the UK. Buy a Japanese Chin from a reputable breeder instead.

a mi ki is a cross breed, not a pedigree, so i doubt you will find a breeder, why not go for a breed that is meant to be, good luck
