When I was in school at that age I skipped out/ played hooky all the time! lol My school ended up sending a truancy officer after me! He showed up at my house and if I wasn't there he would drive around looking for me! And if he found me he would bring me back to school and we would sit in the principal's office and talk about why I keep doing this and what I wanted out of life! But I still lived at home with my mom at the time so I'm not sure since I don't know your situation plus you're expecting and almost due. Shortly after I turned 18 in high school I got pregnant and dropped out but by then I was of age and I was living on my own. Dropping out was the biggest mistake I ever made but I didn't want to be fat and pregnant in school! You do get looked at and treated differently by other students and teachers as well. I guess in my case I was more ashamed/embarrassed of myself. I've always had low self esteem especially during those teenage years! lol Stay in school! Don't make the same mistake I did! Don't worry about what people may think of you! Hope this helps!

depends on the state. But if i was you i would be going to school and getting all the education that you can since you are about to be a mom. Dont be a drop out mom, give your child a good life and stay in school and do something with yourself. She will respect you for it. Might be hard but it will be all that much sweeter in the end.

No, If you are Pregnant you are considered an Adult. You will just have to show proof of it. You will regret if you do not finish school though. Check with the board of education they have classes you can take to get your high school diploma without attending school. You can also graduate with your class.

No, but because you're a minor, your parents are responsible for you getting an education. I'm wondering why you or your parents haven't been in touch with the school before this? Has someone been around to check on your whereabouts?

Lets see, you're pregnant, dropped out, and on the verge of getting arrested. Can I also assume you are unemployed and have "experimented" in drugs? Get your life together ASAP. You are on the road to living in your broken down car. It starts by going to school.

It depends on the state. here in New York you can legally sign yourself out of school at 16. I would suggest talking to your counselor about this. he may have a home school program for you that you may be eligible for because of your pregnancy. i wish i could stop you from dropping out. education is extremely important and you will need it a lot more now because you are now responsible for another life. I don't mean to preach but i am in college and i plan to become a social worker. I hate when young women drop out because they are pregnant or have babies. I have a baby and I still go to school. it can be difficult at times but sweet heart it is worth it. please don't quit school. my mom had me at 17 and she finished and instilled in me what education is capable of doing for you

yes you can.. schools will call the court and you'll be in trouble with the law.. skipping school is illegal.. just saying that you're pregnant is probably not going to cut it.. you'll need a doctor's excuse to stay home for a month..

Do you have a medical excuse from your doctor stating why you're missing school? Your parents will also be in trouble for you missing school if you do not have the medical authorization to back it up.

No. At your age you are able to drop out of school. Bust ask yourself, how would this benefit you and your baby? Go back to school...you deserve it, your worth it!
