I am doing a research paper on the battle of iwo jima during ww2. Can anybody reccomend any good sites?

You are in the right place for the the start. The next trip for you is Google it!!! Researching can be a fun thing to do. You will have to do a lot more of this as long as you keep taking more classes.

I don't have any particular sites in mind, but I would STRONGLY suggest that you concentrate on first hand sources. There are a bunch of sites that store letters, interviews, and first-hand accounts of WW2 in order to preserve them. You will really impress if you go with first hand sources rather than use other's ideas/opinions when writing.
