That's how many miles have been put on the vehicle since it was built. About 20,000 miles on a truck that's 3-4 years old? That's fantastic. If the vehicle's in good condition, I'd take it.

The average driver puts 15,000 miles on a vehicle every year. Consider that miles are just one aspect of a vehicles wear. Highway miles cause much less wear than city in all respects, less engine, gear/tranny wear, brakes etc. Also how a owner takes care of the vehicle regarding cleaning and regular maintenance can have a large impact on the life of the car. That said, the Explorer with 20k has hardly been broken in yet.

You should figure about 12,000 miles per year since the vehicle was originally sold.
As this vehicle is between 2 and 3 years old, I would consider this low miles. Average for this vehicle would be between 24,000 to 36,000 miles.

It is really good.
My rule of thumb I always go by is if it is in good shape and has less than 100,000 miles on it then it is a good vehicle.
If you maintain a vehicle well you can put over 200,000 miles on one before you need to do serious engine work.
Hope that didn't confuse you.

Only 19,809 Miles ? That's barely broken-in. But then given Ford's reputation, the Self-destruct mechanism could have activated itself prematurely. Caveat Emptor !

That truck should have between 30-36k miles in it. If the car checks out (clean title and carfax), and the price is right, buy it.
