alcoholics and drug addicts have a low resistance to pain.
romantics have a more resistance to reality..they live in a dream world...most guys are into sports and food and sex
romantic love does not last very long...its like a dream..when you wake up it soon vanishes from your thought..
i am sorry if i sound harsh but i have been through to many "romantic" encounters ..and usually its a one sided affair...I wish my wife was romantic but if i get her flowers and a card...she just tells me that its a waste of money...
you see it all comes down to money...and that is not very romantic at all...but I am glad there still is some romance in the world..even if it is fleeting...its like cotton candy..its tasty but does not feed the bulldog

You get hurt more because you expect too much. There is nothing wrong with being a romantic but you concentrate more on what he didn't do than what he has done. Guys are different. My husband thinks it's romantic that I cook him dinner every night and leave a fresh towel and a underwear out for him when he is in the shower. I think he is romantic when he lets me pick the restaurant and movie.

yes we do.I'm a hopeless romantic also.back when i was a teenager(the 70ties)people cared and worry about each other and romance was alive and well.now these kids and even a few grown-ups don't know the definition of the word.this world now is full of what i call me,me,me,kind of people.they only care about themselves and know one else.they will tell you they care and love you until the next cute butt walks past them and then they are gone in the wind.this world has become a selfish place.you have know one you can trust or depend on anymore.just keep being your same sweet self,be there for the ones you truly love and care for and pray real hard that this world will change back to the way it use to be.your friend scooterpie

I don't think it works very well to have a romantic and a non-romantic in a relationship. I'm a romantic who happens to be married to a very non-romantic. I think that's dangerous to the relationship because the "love languages" are so drastically different.

Hopeless romantics tend to follow their heart more than they follow their head. That ALWAYS trips people up. If everyone was more cerebral, there would be less emotional suffering.

Yes because you let yourself get way to attactch to someone too quickly. This could lead to you getting hurt time after time after time. And when he doesn't see it as romantic then it prob hurts you too. Tell him to do something romantic and see what he thinks is romantic in his mind. And about the meal. I see a man making my meal very romantic, but if hes just choppin up some onions or somthing, I donno its not that romantic.

being romantic does not make someone suffer, stay the way you are simply tell your bf what you're expecting from him.maybe he will help you with the romantic cooking .if he doesn't know what you want how can he be romantic with you.

YES. Yes they do suffer more but when they gain they gain a lot more than the general population. Higher rewards come from taking higher risks.
