I've known this guy since we was little and we've had a crush on each other for the longest. we are very good friends and now we are dating. I want to know if this isa bad idea, because my brother and i are very close and this guy is one of his good friends.

There should be nothing wrong with the situation. UNless your brother is a real jerk (which he does not sound to be) he should not have any real problem with it. When there are sparks between you two and you both are dear to him, how could your brother say no?
My only suggestion is that your boyfriend remains good friends with your brother. Just dont let him spend more time with you to the point where he neglects and ignores your brother. As long as your relationship does not affect your brother's ties to his friends negatively then all should be good. Good luck and i'm hoping for the best!

I wouldn't date him or try to make a relationship out of this until I talk it over with the both of them especially with my brother. I say this because I am in the same situation right now. It started 9 years ago we have a child together, but my brother and my man are no longer bestfriends and I am to blame. My story could go on Jerry Springer. Because my brother and my son are close in age and my man where both of their
bestfriend. When my brother would come over to get my man I would get bothered because I would think that they were out up to no good. As for my son I was afraid to tell him because of the situation. Today my brother and my son are no longer best friends with my man and I am to blame because I should have talked it over with my brother. We still have problems and when I fuss about something he can't go and talk about it with his bestfriend because he says it doesn't feel right. I have taken away from his friends so now who can he talk too. I look back and if I could change it I wouldn't have gone out with my brothers friend. My mother says that I broke up a good friendship between my brother and his friend. Don't do it because your relationship with this guy may not work out and he will never be around your brother as much anymore because it will be uncomfortable for him because of seeing you. Don't do it.

I know exactly what you are talking about, I'm in one of those relationships right now. It's totally fine, make sure your brother finds it all right. and if you really like him like it sounds then it will turn out good! Good Luck!

i dont see any problem about it.. except if he had a gf there is the problem.u can talk with ur brother too tell him that u like his friend and he like u too so that ur brother can watch over him
