I am taking flying on a plane out of Atlanta today and I was wondering if anyone has had any problems with knitting needles lately. Mine are bamboo and I was hoping to pass the time in the airport working on my sweater without any problem.

I fly often and have seen others bring them onboard. I don't expect that you will have any trouble. But with USA being under extra security the past few months they may ask that you put it into your checked luggage.

I just took a trip to Las Vegas and brought my needles that are metal and didn't have a problem at all. In fact I made a lot of progress on my scarf!

Have a safe trip!

unless you dont mind them getting confiscated i would not risk it. i have had a lot of silly small things taken off me as they are a "dangerous weapon" and knitting needles will be seen as a dangerous weapon more than some of my losses. anything you could use to stab someone with is banned
